4G Antenna Shop (4GAS), a long-time player in the cellular data reseller market, recently overhauled their website and plan lineup. Although 4GAS remains as the company name, the new top-line branding is now called "Infinite High Speed" and was rolled out with some significant changes to the plan lineup.
The "Infinite High Speed" plans offer three tiers of service using the T-Mobile network that range from $75 a month to $200 a month. While advertised as truly unlimited service, the fine print in the FAQ notes that usage over 200GB a month is subject to account termination.
Unlike previous 4GAS offers, these new plan options include international data roaming, video streaming (including 4k for the $200/month option), and a static public IP address - a very rare feature in the cellular data world.
There are two major downsides to 4GAS service, however:
- The service is only available to business customers - potential customers must provide proof such as a business license or Federal EIN application.
- The service must be used with 4GAS's proprietary cellular modem - there's no option to simply get a SIM card to use with another device. The modem is a ZTE-based category 4 device that lacks band 71 support - a band that has become a very important part of T-Mobile's network. But it does have ethernet and band-locking capability.
Despite these downsides, this could be a useful option for those who have a qualifying business and need some of the rare features like a static IP address.
