Key Points:
AT&T has a group of postpaid data-only plans available to both consumer and business customers called DataConnect. These plans are data-only - they are intended for use in hotspots, tablets, laptops, and other eligible connected devices.
As of May 2021, they have increased the available data on these plans, while the pricing has remained them same.
There are two DataConnect plans available. Previously, the two plans were a 35GB plan and a 15GB plan. But now the plans include 40GB and 25GB respectively.
The base price for the 40GB plan is $85, and the 25GB plan is $60. Both plans are eligible for a $10/month discount if you sign up for both paperless billing and auto-pay. This discount would bring the price for the 40GB plan to $75, and the 25GB plan would be $50.
The DataConnect plans also include 5G, as long as you have a 5G compatible device and are in an area where 5G service is available.
You can can get more information about the DataConnect plans on AT&T's consumer site and business site.
Compared to the new AT&T Prepaid plans for Hotspots & Tablets offering 100GB of data for $55/month - the DataConnect plans only make sense for those who absolutely need postpaid priority data for their devices.
