Story Updated 5/15/24.
AT&T offers an International Day Pass to its customers, which can be added to existing plans on an as-needed basis. The International Day Pass allows customers to access the data on their domestic plans while traveling internationally, in over 210 destinations.
AT&T has started sending out notifications that effective May 14, the daily fee for the International Day Pass will increase to $12/day (up from $10/day).
Customers can also add an International Day Pass for additional lines on the same account. The price to add an additional line on consumer plans is also going up - from $5/day to $6/day (For business lines, there is no additional line discount).
The International Day Pass is available for both business and consumer plans, and the price change will apply to both.
One aspect that was not mentioned in the announcement is whether the charge cap on consumer lines (not business) will remain the same.
As of May 15th, AT&T's website confirms that there is a charge cap after 10 days of use per line, per bill, for consumer lines. This means that once you pay for ten day passes in a billing cycle, additional day passes for that line for the remainder of the billing cycle are free. Also, this benefit is still not available on business accounts.
