Verizon Home Internet is a fixed-location residential service with both 5G and LTE options. Potential customers must have a qualifying address to sign up.
- See our Fixed Residential Service entry for similar options from AT&T, T-Mobile, and others.
Verizon's Terms of Service are explicit that the service must only be used in an authorized device that is provided with the service. They further state that the service must only be used at a specific service address and that consent is required to move service or change devices. However, we have seen many reports of people successfully using Verizon Home Internet while mobile, so it appears they are not currently enforcing these terms. But it's always possible that they could start enforcing these terms at any time.
Verizon Home Internet currently offers LTE and 5G plans. Prices vary depending on whether the plan is bundled with a phone line or standalone and whether autopay is enabled.
Each plan also has a "Plus" version with extra features like a longer price guarantee, Verizon cloud backup, and access to streaming or media platforms. For the 5G service, Verizon claims speeds of up to 300Mbps and 1000Mbps for 5G Plus when on 5GUW High Band (millimeter wave). However, speeds will vary considerably depending on location.
Verizon also offers Home Internet plans through Straight Talk and Total by Verizon.

5G Gateway Devices
Verizon offers 5 different 5G gateway devices for their 5G Home Internet service. Which one you get depends on your plan and service location.
The white "cube" device is the most common gateway that the vast majority of users receive. These do not support Verizon's mmWave network, but do support LTE and 5G low and mid-band frequencies. There are three versions of the cube that look almost the same from the exterior, have very similar specs, and all three support the same cellular bands:
- ARC-XCI55AX - Made by Arcadyan.
- ASK-NCQ1338FA/ASK-NCQ1338 - Made by Askey, there are two different model numbers, but both have the same specs.
- CR200A - Made by WNC. It has a 5G Phase 2 modem - so likely an X62, but does not have antenna ports.
For those in an area served by Verizon's mmWave network (typically only found in urban cores), these gateways also support mmWave.
- Model LVSKIHP - Designed to be mounted on a window to receive mmWave frequencies.
- LV65 paired with CR1000A - This option comes in two parts, a POE-powered cellular “receiver” and a Wi-Fi router. The receiver is intended to be remotely mounted indoors on a window or outdoors and connected to the indoor router via an Ethernet cable.

Routers can serve as a central conductor of your local area network in your RV and boat. Mobile routers are different from residential routers in that they typically support multiple internet sources like cellular and Wi-Fi, can be powered off of 12v or AC and support external antenna for better receiving signal.
But you might not need a router in your setup. Here's a quick video overview the variety that routers come in:
