Enabling SpeedFusion Connect on Peplink Devices
If you want to setup Peplink SpeedFusion Connect, these are the more basic steps, but the linked video and KB go into way more details on it.
- Update your firmware to 8.3 (or later) and backup your device configuration.
- Check with the KB on baselining your mobile router first
- Enable SpeedFusion Connect Protect by clicking on the SFC Protect menu item
- Click on Client Mode and choose a location or set to automatic. (Save & Apply)
- Go back to SFC Protect menu and choose Route by Wi-Fi SSID
- Choose an existing WiFi network reference and name your now SFC Protect WiFi SSID (Save & Apply)
- Your Wi-FI SSID for SFC Protect is now setup and SFC will utilize connections only in priority 1
- Move network connections to priority 1 and enjoy SFC Protect for devices connected to that Wi-Fi
- At any time you don't need SFC Protect, just jump back to your original Wi-Fi and you'll be back to load balanced or failover settings.
