MOFI Networks is a Canadian-based company that makes value-priced cellular routers.
The MOFI 5500 series router is the newest lineup, and MOFI just introduced a new version with a 5G modem that is both more advanced and less expensive than their previous 5G models.
Specifically, MOFI now offers the Quectel RM520N modem module as an option in its 5500 series router. The RM520N utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon X62 cellular modem. This is a 4th-generation modem that has significant advantages over the previous generation X55 modules, and this newer generation is the first one we consider to be more future-proof for 5G.
The new version is priced at $499.99, $150 less than the X55 version, making it a better value.
The new version is model number MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-RM520 and is available now.
