Home Internet services have become a popular option with the nomad community.
While not specifically designed for mobile use, several carriers are not enforcing any location restrictions on use.
Combing this service with a satellite service will give you another option for connectivity when you're out of cellular range.
Both services can be connected to a non-cellular router which then broadcasts a signal to your equipment.
Pros

Cellular Embedded Mobile Routers
Below are mobile routers with at least one cellular embedded modem, that we've had hands on time with. These tend to be more enterprise class devices, but they also come in more consumer priced models. While these are not carrier specific (like mobile hotspots are), do pay attention to the modem specifications of each model. They can vary quite a bit.
