T-Mobile announced some changes to its lineup of fixed-location Home and Small Business Internet options, which will be available starting December 11th 2024.
These plans are not suitable for mobile use, and the new plan terms emphasize the requirement for fixed-location use only:
For use only with select T-Mobile Gateways for in-home use at location provided at activation; service restricted away from approved address.
Most other terms remain largely the same, including data always being deprioritized with further deprioritization after 1.2TB of use.
The new plan lineups include three tiers of service with varying perks (click for a larger image):
The plan tiers offer some interesting benefits and perks, but these plans are unsuitable for mobile use, and T-Mobile will likely enforce the fixed-location terms for these plans.
T-Mobile has mobile-friendly options available in the "Away" plans, for a significantly higher price.
Key Mobile Internet Related Considerations:
- T-Mobile's new Home and Small Business Internet plans are incompatible with mobile use.
