'Unlimited' Plans
US Mobile offer an 'Unlimited' plan on one of either two networks - GSM (which runs on T-Mobile) or Super LTE (which runs on Verizon).
On either carrier, this plan has a base price of $40, which includes on-device data at 5mbps ('Fast') speeds.
The base 'Fast Unlimited' plan provides:
- 50GB of 5mbps speed data for SuperLTE (Verizon) on device
- 15GB of 5mbps speed data for GSM (T-Mobile) on device
All data is always subject to network management. And we have confirmed with US Mobile representatives that after these thresholds are met, there is hard throttling to 2G speeds afterwards. However data top ups can be purchased to re-enable faster speeds.
You can also upgrade the plan on either carrier with the following:
- Add "Ludicrous" speeds (150mpbs+ or full LTE speeds) for +$5
- Super LTE (Verizon) gives you 50GB of full speed data, then 2G speeds
- GSM (T-Mobile) gives you 15GB of full speed data, then 2G speeds
- Add mobile hotspot (MHS) capability for +$5
- Adds 10GB of either 5mbps or full-speed data dependent on if you've upgraded speeds. MHS is cut-off after 10GB.
International Roaming
As of December 2019, US Mobile 'Unlimited' plans now include International roaming:
- 'Fast' (5mbps) plans include 5GB of 4G/LTE International roaming data per month
- 'Ludicrous' plans include 10GB of 4G/LTE International roaming data per month
International roaming can be used in 140 countries. eSIM capability and activation prior to arrival is required for use of International roaming data. For those who need more than the 5GB or 10GB provided with their 'Unlimited' plan, additional International roaming data can be tacked on at local rates via the US Mobile app.
Capped Plans
In addition to an 'unlimited' data plan, US Mobile also offers data in capped buckets. These data plans are all at 'full-speed'. Mobile hotspot use is permitted without any additional fee. Talk and text can be added to these plans - or you can purchase them as data only.
Data on these plans is hard capped. There is no 'unlimited slow' data after your data bucket is used.
US Mobile now offers the following capped data bucket options:
- 1.5GB - $10
- 2.5GB - $15
- 4GB - $20
- 8GB - $26
International Roaming
Customers on capped data plans are granted 250mb of International roaming data.
Additional International roaming data can be added at 'local rates' via the US Mobile app. International roaming can be used in 140 countries. eSIM capability and activation prior to arrival is required for use of International roaming data.
Features of US Mobile Plans
US Mobile has added or continued several customer friendly features to their plans since hitting the MVNO market back in 2014.
Devices
US Mobile allows you to bring your own device (BYOD) to their service, or offers phone devices for sale.
For those who wish to BYOD, starter SIM cards from US Mobile cost $3.99.
US Mobile permits use of their plans in any device that uses a SIM card. Smartphones, hotspots, routers, tablets and other SIM based devices are permitted for use with a US Mobile plan.
Any data-only device will use 'hotspot' data allotments - currently capped at 10GB for 'Unlimited' plans and 8GB as the highest tiered plan available.
Devices that are optimized to work with Verizon and T-Mobile networks - depending on which background carrier you select - will work most effectively with US Mobile plans. While most devices are now sold unlocked, if your current device is locked to another network or carrier, US Mobile offers to help unlock it for you.
Accounts
As of December 2019, US Mobile allows you to 'bundle' plans together under a single account. Up to 5 lines are permitted under a single account.
You are permitted to ''mix-and-match' line types under a single account.
For example, you can have one SIM (line) with an 'Unlimited' plan at 'Ludicrous' speeds with hotspot ($50+taxes&fees), and another SIM (line) with 8GB of data ($26+taxes&fees) - bringing the total for the account to $76 before taxes and fees.
Each SIM(line) gets its own data/voice/text - depending on the combination you choose.
Accounts with more than 1 Unlimited SIM(line) also receive added 'Perks'.
Streaming Perks
US Mobile, as of December 2019, now includes streaming perks for customers who have more than one 'Unlimited' line under a single account with US Mobile.
US Mobile provides these bundled services in an interesting manner.
For an account with 2 'Unlimited' lines, the account holder can choose one subscription from the following choices:
- Slacker Plus LiveXLive
- Pandora Plus
- Apple TV Plus
For an account with 3 'Unlimited' lines, the account holder can add one subscription - on top of the subscription chosen from the '2 line options' - from the following choices:
- Disney +/Hulu/ESPN+ Bundle
- Netflix Standard
- Audible
- Spotify Family
- Apple Music Family
For an account with 4+ 'Unlimited' lines, the account holder can add one subscription - on top of those two subscriptions previously chosen from above - from the following choices:
- PS4+
- XBox
Autopilot A.I. Can Help you Pick Your Plan
US Mobile is planning to launch a new - and frankly, weird - feature to their website: Autopilot AI.
Yes, AI as in artificial intelligence. As in, a bot. A bot that will help you choose the right plan for you.
Starting in 2020, customers will be invited to use US Mobile's Autopilot AI. Customers opting into this option will be put on a discounted plan for 3 months - which includes 10GB of data and costs $25/month. After 3-months, the Autopilot AI is slated to suggest an appropriate US Mobile phone plan for the customer to subscribe to based on their talk, text, and data usage patterns. You can sign up on their website now to learn more about this new feature.
A New App
US Mobile is launching an app - new as of this month. The app will allow US Mobile plan subscribers to check balances, change plans, add top-ups, and edit their profile and payment information.
While no specific date has been declared, the app is slated to 'be available soon' in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Customers can also check balances or add more talk, text, and data to their plans by texting a US Mobile if they don't wish to utilize the forthcoming app.
Summary

Their on device GSM 'Unlimited' allotment remains the same at 15GB. Mobile hotspot data is cut-off after 10GB on both 'Unlimited' plan types. All data is always subject to network management.
US Mobile has added the perk of bundled streaming services for accounts with more than one unlimited line. They've also tacked on International roaming data to plans - and the ability to added more International data when needed.
US Mobile allows their SIMs (plans) to be used in any device a customer desires.
