Waveform is out with two new 4x4 MIMO cellular panel antennas, the directional QuadPro and omnidirectional QuadMini. Designed to be used with most 5G and LTE cellular embedded routers on the market.
Waveform is a US-based company that sells cellular-related equipment and also manufactures some of its own, including cellular antennas. While most of Waveform's products focus on stationary users, some are suitable for mobile use in a van, RV, or boat.
The QuadMini is the antenna that will be more interesting for mobile users, and starts at just $119. It's a compact panel design and omnidirectional. The antenna comes with a variety of mounting options including pole, wall, suction cup, or desktop. Like the QuadPro, the QuadMini comes with 3ft of integrated cabling, and extensions are available.
The QuadPro is a high-gain 4x4 MIMO directional antenna that is most appropriate for stationary use but could also be an effective option for mobile users in challenging signal areas who need the extra gain of a directional antenna. It can be pole mounted and has an integrated 3ft cable with optional cable extensions for greater length.
Both antennas are available alone or as part of a kit, starting at $219, that includes cable extensions, and unique window passthrough cable, and other accessories.
Key Mobile Internet Related Considerations:
- The QuadMini is an all-around and versatile 4x4 MIMO omnidirectional panel antenna that is flexible for use in mobile applications like a van, RV or boat.
- The QuadPro is a larger directional, 4x4 MIMO panel antenna best used with a pole mount in situations where extra gain is needed.
